2. Navigate to the Downloads Folder: Once you have opened the Files app, look for the “Browse” tab at the bottom of the screen. Tap on it and then select “On My iPhone.” From there, you should see a “Downloads” folder where all your downloaded files are stored.

Deleting Downloaded Files

1. Selecting Files: Tap on the “Downloads” folder to view all the files you have downloaded on your iPhone. You can scroll through the list and select individual files by tapping on them.

2. Delete Files: To delete a file, simply swipe left on it, and a red “Delete” option will appear. Tap on “Delete,” and the file will be removed from your device.

3. Bulk Deletion: If you want to delete multiple files at once, tap on “Edit” in the top right corner of the screen. Select all the files you want to delete by tapping on them, then tap on the trash can icon at the bottom of the screen to remove them in bulk.

Emptying Recently Deleted Folder

1. Check Recently Deleted: When you delete a file from your downloads folder, it goes into a “Recently Deleted” folder within the Files app before being permanently removed from your device.

2. Permanently Delete Files: To permanently delete files from this folder, tap on “Recently Deleted,” select the files you want to remove, then tap “Delete” or “Delete All” to free up space on your device.

Managing Downloads Settings

1. Automatic Deletion: To prevent your downloads folder from getting cluttered in the future, consider enabling automatic deletion of downloaded files after a certain period in Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Review Downloaded Videos or Review Downloaded Music.

By following these steps and regularly cleaning out your downloads folder, you can ensure that your iPhone stays organized and optimized for better performance.
